I am very excited to be teaching English conversation to you all over the next 6 months! Speaking in another language can be challenging, useful, and fun. Please try your best to speak in English during class. It can be difficult, but English conversation class is a great opportunity to practice the English language.
Grades:
5-4-3-2-1
You will receive a grade for each day of class. Your grade will be based on participation. If you speak in English, listen to the teacher, and contribute fully to the day’s activity, by sharing with the class or your small groups/partner, you will receive a 4 or 5. If you fail to meet one or more of these requirements, you may receive a 4, 3, 2, or 1. For example, if you are given homework or a class assignment, and you do not complete the assignment correctly, then you cannot receive higher than a 4. If you speak more Hungarian than English in class, you also cannot receive higher than a 4.
You all seem very smart! I think you can all receive a 4 or 5 if you listen in class and try to speak in English!
